New Member: Band Leader from Seattle

Post by Gandalfe »

Greetings. Like a lot of you here, I returned to music performance, and in my case after a ~30 break. That was in 2002. Now I create bands like the Microsoft Jumpin' Jive Orchestra, now in it's tenth year of providing great dance music in the Seattle area.

A woodwind player, I have admin'd on the Sax on the Web forum, and now admin on the Woodwind Forum. I am called upon to help parents with young musicians, hobbyists looking for that killer instrument, and family find that perfect instrument, locate that hard to find music arrangement, and/or recommend a great music instructor or repair tech.

I look forward to getting to meet the people on this august forum so that I can point my peeps here for those questions that are beyond my expertise.

Welcome. We hope you find our forum interesting and helpful!

If you refer anyone here looking for information about flute purchases, a good starting point is our FAQ:

"Never give a flute player a screwdriver."
