Hi there - I am looking for accompaniments that I can download and put onto CD to play along to - I have found one fab website for this - www.piano-accompaniment.com but they don't have what I need.
Can anyone recommend anywhere else to get accompaniments? Also has anyone had any experience of taking a track and erasing the flute part (so you are left with the orchestral accompaniment only?)
I am particularly looking for "dance of the blessed spirits" - if anyone could help I would be SO GRATEFUL!!!!!!!
Thanks and hello! This is my first time on this message board!
If at all possible, you are much better off to work with a live accompanist. If that is not at all a possibility, as it is for a few of my students, you can create a MIDI file using a program such as Finale Print Music which has a "create audio file" option. The program is not cheap, but it is definately worth it. I got this tip from another teacher who lives in a rural area where there are not a lot of pianists. She creates the accompaniment tracks and asks the students to bring blank CDs to lessons.
I know that many colleges offer reduced prices for a certain program subscription that has thousands of pieces with accompaniement. I dont remember what it is called though....... sorry.
you could call the music department in a college in your area.
