Dizzy for young flute choir (or extended techniques newbies)

Post by ncomposer »

Hi!

I composed a piece for young flute choir called Dizzy, commissioned by Eileen Yarrison and premiered at the National Flute Association Convention last week. Each movement focuses on a particular extended technique. I. Shake uses flutter tonguing, II. Blend pitch bends, III. Swirl uses jet whistles, and IV. Bop uses beatboxing. Its for C flutes only.

You can listen to a recording and buy the sheet music here: http://spottedrocket.com/Dizzy.html

Thanks and happy playing!

Cool piece that can introduce extended techniques to the younger flutists!
I like the extended techniques video tutorial too!
