Flute isn't working properly

I recently broke my flute (back in January, the piece that enables the body and end to connect was crooked) but never got around to getting it fixed. I took my flute out today, out of curiosity, and I guess having it in the case must've straightened it out, because it's straight and proper now, but when I try playing my flute the sound is all breathy and not at all what it's supposed to sound like. Any clue of what happened or what I should do?

There are dozens of reasons why a flute won't play correctly. Since you start off by saying you broke your flute, there's a good bet that whatever you did to damage one of the tenons (the part that keeps the sections together), also bent a key. Take your flute to a repair shop and get it fixed properly.

How long has it been since you've had your flute checked out? In can be very frustrating to battle a flawed instrument, especially when you find out it didn't cost that much to fix. Good luck!

Take it to a qualified technician. If something was crooked and now it's not, it sounds like something is unsoldered possibly. If something is unsoldered, the flute is undoubtedly leaking somewhere.
