To play in Baroque style or modern style?

Hello all.

I'm new to this forum and English, but not quite new to flute. I'm a senior school student, and I'm doing Sonata in G Major of C.P.E.Bach for the time being. For the investigation task of my music extention course, I need to do a survey about "As the modern flutes are being used, and we konw that the Baroque flutes were technically limited to do complex things, should we still play Baroque pieces in Baroque style, or can we play them in modern way? Why? "
