Vento flute

Post by billg4192 »

Bought a Vento Flute from a friend who is moving. All I can get for now is that it is a Vento Sterling Silver, engraved flute. Serial #11C110. I am still working on the former owner for the model # but wanted to know if anyone can tell what it is by the serial #. If you go to my FB page there is a picture of it. William M Garrison

The Vento brand is marketed by Music Factory Direct. Info about their flutes can be found here:

They sell a couple of versions that are partially sterling silver. Model 901-855 is available with a sterling headjoint only. Both the Model 901-885 and 901-895 have a sterling headjoint and body and both have lip plate engraving. The one you bought is probably one of those. AFAIK, they do not publish any serial numbers, but their website describes the engraving on each so you may be able to figure it out from that.
