Vibrato change

Post by MissyHPhoenix »

My teacher is having me start all over with basic vibrato, since I never really "learned" how to produce a proper one before. So now I am working on the slow pulsing 3-beat vibrato to get control of it. Coming along nicely except that ..... now my dog, who always sleeps on my bed while I am practicing, has decided to "sing" along with me every time I practice it! Can't decide if she's complimenting me or is in pain ....

Just wanted to share that one with y'all!

Do a small test. Leave the door open and see if she goes out of the room when you play. If she does, that´s probably pain, if not, she definitely likes it :-)

 I do leave the door open already! She could run out if she wanted to .... she just sits on the bed and looks at me and howls! Guess I should take it as a compliment, then!

You might recall that some time ago I posted about my bird falling asleep when I played the flute. Now he whistles!!!!!! Does it mean my music is not soothing any more? :|
