help with old W.T Armstrong flute

I would like some help figuring out how old my WT Armstrong flute is. Serial number is 47401. The logo is not the Script style, rather block letters that kind of resemble needlepoint. WT Armstrong Co Elkhart - IND. The full serial number is on the main body piece and the end piece and just 01 on the mouthpiece. (sorry.. probably not using the proper terms) My Dad bought this used for me around 1970. I do not have the original case. I would also like to have it back in working order.. I lent it to my cousin years ago.. its been sitting for years since.. some springs are sluggish and I am sure the pads need replacing.. and the finish is rough.. I live in southwest Michigan.. not far from either Kalamazoo or Elkhart.. any suggestions on that?
