trying to find out what the differences are between the Yamaha Allegro Series

Yamaha Question
The main difference is that the Allegro aka 471, is
offset G, split E and has a gold lip plate. Allegro comes with a longer
warrantee 5 years I think. They also make an Allegro that is aka 371 which is
like a 381 except for the same two differences. Allegro link
http://www.yamaha.com/yamahavgn/CDA/Con ... DN,00.html
400 series link

Normally you see 481H which has a B foot, but it is also available with C foot,
Allegro has B foot. Allegro has the CY Headjoint, you maybe able to order the
481 with a different one but I think CY is also standard, but not sure about
that, I haven't found the specs on the 481 headjoint. Hope that helps

Thanks that does help. I am not sure why there is a
price difference here in betweeen the Allegro and the 481. The Allegro is about
$400.00 dollars less than the 481 at 2 stores that I checked with. Thanks again,
Kim

Like I said there are 2 different Allegro models. 371
and 471 and they sell on the street for about 400 dollars difference the 371 has
a plated body like all 300 level Yamaha and the 471 has solid silver body like
the 400 series Yamaha. Make sure they are quoting you the price for the
instrument you want.

here is selling the 471 for $400.00 less than the 481. I do know that we won't
go with the Allegro as my daughter wants an inline G and doesn't feel the need
for the split E option. We are not in a hurry but I am just starting to look at
my options as we are probably going to get something new this spring. Kim

Yamaha Question
Hi~ Yes, she did get a new Gemeinhardt last February
but recently she has had a few problems with mechanics that people mention with
Gemmy's. She is just starting to enter some competitions and we are thinking
she would benefit from something a bit more reliable. She still wants a
Drelinger headjoint but that might have to wait. Kim [/quote] i thought you said
