Hello there fellow musicians, I''m interested in getting
some flute music, and I would really apreciate some recomendations. I would
especially like to know bands similar to the amazing dutch band Flairk, or
Angels of Venice, it doesn''t have to be flute only, but with a nice dose of
this beatiful instrument. Thanks a lot. [;)]

You might like Jethro Tull (Ian Anderson on flute). It is
really a rock band but it has a lot of great tunes, some with quite a bit of
flute in it. Also, some recent recordings by Ian Anderson himself are more in
style of the bands you mentioned. For sheet music, I think there is a book of
Ian Anderson's solos (or Jethro Tull songs). You can check some online stores.

Of course I know Jethro Tull, they're my favourite band,
they are the reason I started to play the flute. Sorry I didn't post them, but
it seemed a little obvious...(look at my nickname), but what I'm looking is not
progressive rock with flute like Jethro tull or Focus, but more acoustic based
bands like Flairk or Angels of Vencice. Anyway, all recomendations are more than
welcome.... thanks []
