Do you know that the factors behind choosing musical instruments have a direct impact on the success of playing?
Do you recognise any of these in your own journey of flute playing? Where you 'born for it' or a reluctant student to begin with - I'd love to know. The 'why' can be so important as you can read below...

Re: 8 Reasons Why Students Choose Musical Instruments...Recognise any??
Reason 9--I went to my brother's band concert, and there in the high school band was a girl in the front row with TWO instruments! And nobody else had TWO instruments--only her! So I tugged on Mum's sleeve and asked why that girl had TWO instruments. She said we would go down afterwards and ask her. The girl explained that one was a flute, and one was a piccolo.
Little egotist that I was in 2nd grade, I decided right then that I would also play TWO instruments in band!
(of course, now I also sometimes play mallets, and keyboard, and handbells at the Christmas concert, and....)
