Hello everyone!
I've saved up enough to get my dream flute. The flute of interest is a Muramatsu Platinum Clad open-holed flute. The platinum should add weight to the flute, thus darkening its sound (right?), and adding heavy wall tubing will darken the sound further. I generally lean towards heavy wall because my airstream trends to be more compact and powerful, but will the platinum make the sound TOO heavy?
Anyone have experience with this specific model + tubing?

Re: Platinum Clad Standard Wall vs. Heavy Wall
I was also considering the possibility of getting a special order solid platinum flute (with standard tubing). What should I expect from a flute with that weight?

Every flute and player is different, you won't know until you actually try it..
Solid platinum...I half expected you to ask: What should I expect to pay for that!
