I was out perusing pawn shops the other day because you never know what kind of instruments they will have. I decided to go over to a home furnishings consignment shop on the off chance they sold something other than home furnishings. It was worth it just to laugh. They had a Gemeinhardt student model flute (I'm guessing the 2SP) for sale. The poor thing had one key that someone had lifted up (not pressed down!) until it bent backwards. Also, and I'm not sure how the average user did this, but the lip plate was completely ripped off.
All this can be yours, folks, for the low low price of...$199.
