We live in SW Florida also. Was this your first year attending Flute
camp with the Larsens? You must be a good player, I understand they only take on
top players. Beth Larsen is very nice and a fine flutist. We have seen them play
at Barbara B. Mann several times. North Ft. Myers hosted the Band competition a
few months ago. But you were still in Middle school I guess. Do you have
sectionals already? You must have a dedicated Band Director. Are they having a
concert Friday at the honors Band Camp?

Jenn We really enjoyed the keyboard camp and Advanced Band camp
concert this afternoon. Turns out we knew more than 15 kids that played between
the piano, violin, flute, Trombone, Clarinet and others. The HS was a small
group and unfortunately the Brass covered up the three of you a little. Saw that
Picollo come out on the Appalacian Legacy. Great going. Hope you had as much fun
playing as we did listening. Weren't those string pieces zany?[;)]

you were there on friday? where were you sitting? the picc. part on
appalacian legacy was kinda hard considering i just started playing. the strings
songs were very weird, the first time i heard them i didnt relieze the screaming
was part of the song. i think that the strings pieces were a little more
entertaining than the rest of the concert. also, who is we?

Yes the whole family came to listen. We sat near the back, it was
very crowded. Maybe they should use the HS auditorium next year. But it was
enjoyable.

i aggree, but i think they use the middle school because most of the
camps are for middle schoolers. and maybe they cant use the high school for some
reason.
