maybe you could just tell the drummer to use a little less cymbals...

Well, I play in a flute choir and although I haven't played the alto or bass a lot, I've tried them a little. Drove me insane, I wanted to kill the teacher when he wanted to take the bass flute from me... They're different to play, but not really too hard, at least for me, as my hands are big enough...
