Hey- Is anyone going to the PMC band
camp this summer???i'd like to know-maybe we'll b in the same

how long have you been playing for your director? If he/she knows what your capable of, you shouldn't worry. As long as u know u can do it, there's nothin to be worried about. so sorry- I didn't read it through.ok what i did was for an evaluation[cause it's required for our band sort of like chair auditions but no one evr gets moved]and it was a prepared peice[sorry when i read your response- it reminded me of the time when i did SOMETHING like that on a prepared peice]an...

cleartone-ive tried doing that for a evaluation-listen to
a recording-it dosnt work for me-i played what it was on the recording and
played the totally wrong thing!!i'd be careful when u do that its tricky.[;)]

Are there any honor band auditions around
Tulare County(in california)coming up??i want to do it sooo bad. ive never done
it but my director(and the high school directors[im in 7th])r confident that ill
be principal flute?any tips if i happen 2 find 1?

well- people ask me if i have perfect pitch-close-but no i dont-but what really helps me is choir-and improvising on piano-choir helps a lot-ub become familiar with the pitches and in our choir at least u practice sight singing which helps hearing pitch. maybe it comes naturally-it did to beethoven!...

what i do-i dont really compose i ad lib
or improvise-i just play little licks that come into my head and transfer it
onto music-hey -it works for me!!![:halo:]

i dont play it but ive tried it. its sort of confusing to
figure out what octave u r in. thats how it is w/ the piccolo so u should be
able to pick it up farily easily.

hello-i guess i sight read pretty well-u have to practice a lot and have to play a lot of music(different peices w/ different rythems)and it actually comes naturall 4 me. before i started being taught by my(awesome)director, i played(taught myself) several songs inside the method book. Thanx crazy- i guess i just didn't
want her to move w/ another foster family[she's a fster child so that may be
some of the reason-her current foster mom is really mean!!]even though she hates
her foster mom.
