I want to buy a new flute, but I don't really know where to start! I mean, there are so many brands out there and so many shops, and everything. Can someone help? Where should I start?!

How fast should the 'Lento' part of 'Dance of the Blessed Spirits' go? I've been doing it about 72 quavers to a minute. Is that too fast? Too slow?
