Throat noise
Hello! I have a low throat noise going on when I'm playing. It sounds like an alto trying to sing along with my playing. How do I get rid of it? Thanks a lot.

breathing and pressure
I've been reading all day about breathing from various pros all over the Net and I have gathered that you inhale deeply and propel the air column to pressure behind your lips. But how do you do that? I don't get any pressure behind my lips. The only thing I can figure out is to close the lips togeth...

I'm a beginner. I've been playing for 2 months. Have you heard of this before? Thank you so much. I can't af...

Swabbing out with newspaper

I have not been able to find a suitable flute swab (I'm a beginner), so I rolled up a newspaper the size and length of the flute and put it in and gave it a few twists and the moisture was immediately gone. If this is some...

Re: flute slips out of place
this is good news that it can be fixed and that I didn't get sold a bum deal. I don't want to keep it in the case :( because everytime I have to take it apart I don't like how tight I have to sqeeze it to turn it. There is no possible way that anything will happen to it where I have it laying on a t...

Re: flute slips out of place

But I still want hands on with a teacher. I traded my beginning violin for a Gemeinhardt SP2 at the music...

flute slips out of place
My flute keeps slipping down into the curvature of my chin from sweating. Are you supposed to hold it up in the proper place with your hands? I'm beginning flute but advanced on the clarinet.
Thank you.
Thank you.
