Yamaha YPC-62

Post by sherbert789 »

Hello Everyone,

I am finishing up my junior year of high school and I am planning on being a flute performance major in college. I am a piccolo doubler, but I currently play on a student Gemeinhardt piccolo (solid silver headjoint, silver-plated body), that does its job, but I want to upgrade to something nicer if I'm going to be playing professionally. Does anyone have an opinion on the YPC-62? My school has an ancient one (I think it's from the '70s, and it's fantastic, but the wood has had plenty of time to age!). Are the new ones great, too? Thanks for the help!

These are still excellent. One of my students bought one last spring.
