Irish Music for Flute

Hey

Anyone got any scores or sheets for flute irish music?
I've been playing the flute for 8 years and only now i've started to get interested in this genere of music so if anyone has music sheets of irish music, ill be grateful.

http://www.thesession.org is also a good site, with sheet music to plenty of Celtic folk tunes. Not everything is done for flute, but all (as far as I know) is playable on a flute.

If you REALLY want to get into Irish music, then I recommend learning genuine irish instruments; the penny whistle and celtic flute. I myself have a genuine interest in this genre as well, so I have invested some money in these instruments. I have a celtic flute in D (made of bamboo... so I guess if you get technical it's not legit. But I'm looking into getting a legit. one soon). and three penny whistles: high D, low F, and Low D.

The playing technique for these instruments is very similar to the concert flute.

I asked in my music shop just last week... They have an Irish whistle, but not an Irish flute...
I will buy the Irish whistle next week I think. When I asked, I had to go to the doc, where I usually have to wait for a long time, and I couldn't stand the thought of that whistle in my bag without being able to try it...

You can get real cheap tin whistles on ebay, though I'd actually recommend getting a wooden one. Much nicer tone.

And a wooden Irish flute sounds lovely

My tin whistle is a Waltons in D, exactly like yours, but the label looks like the one in C.... I put it in a green case...

1 tin whistle (but this is going to change...

I hope I haven't forgotten anything...

More will be added with time, like a harp. I always wanted to play the harp!
