Well i decided to try out a recording, this was done with my notebook microphone so excuse the quality.
I know its not perfect and varies a little, but i like the interpretation.
LMK what you think,

Yeah sucks. Any tips on editing with GarageBand to clean it up. I tried positioning the computer far away but that riding help.
Thanks |

I bought a Mac last year but haven't used garageband
Have you tried the mac tutorials?
Usually best to record dry - no effects - then try some effects in the post edit mix
Looks like some other info is available online

The heavy reverb settings aren't typical but can be used to great effect |

Yeah i recorded no effects, but the room where im practicing is pretty dry and acoustically dull, lol. I added the reverb after, but even on the second half of the piece it was just to loud, if i tried limiting the level the piece would sound flat. So i just left it, thanks for the advice, always learning.
I wish i could have recorded this past weekend at a cabin i was in, they had a huge stone tower and i was practicing at the top. It was amazing, no notebook though. |
