Does anyone here on the forum have any experience with A Eppler flutes and especially his HJ's. I am particularly interested to know how the vintage HJ's from the early 90's stand against his later model. I have two. One is from 1993 and is an excellent player; so much so that I feel that I have found my sound in wood and am dis-inclined to return to silver. The other, which I have yet to play is dated from 1990. I use mine on silver flutes; Altus 1607 + 907 and Muramatsu AD.
Incidentally, my setup follows that of T Boehm's original desire - if not outright intention - of mixing wood with metal. He was shouted down by the French on purely aesthetic grounds, but this setup is finding favor once again in our modern era.
