College Band Camps

Has anyone ever been to a college band camp during
the summer... I have to go this summer and I wanna know what it is like

Well my friend went to an away band camp for a week
last summer and she liked it. They had lots of lessons and practice though, but
afterwards they got to swim and skate and order pizza and stuff. It costs about
$350, I had only been playing flute for about 8 months when the money and stuff
was due and I decided I'd wait till either this year or next year. HAVE FUN!

Yeah, I went to one. I had lots of fun. Um.. We
tried out to make one of eight bands. Then every day we'd practice for three
hours, if you made first band, and then you'd go to sectionals afterward for an
hour. uhhh.. you get to do a lot of other fun stuff, such as movies or swimming.
It's a lot of fun. The cost was around $300. That paid for housing and food.
So, I recommend going. I'm not much of a band person, I'm more into orchestra,
but, hey, it was pretty kewl. Leanne

I am going to FAMU band camp...Stillman Band camp,
and JSU band camp....I only have to pay like 100 for each though....while
normally FAMU band camp is like 395.... and the others are high too
