The Flute View's Winning Composition Now Available!

Post by ncomposer » Thu Jul 23, 2015 11:10 am

My composition, Percolate for flute trio, was selected as the winner for The Flute View's 2015 Composition Competition. The premiere was earlier this month by Viviana Guzman, Fluterscooter, and Alice K. Dade. The sheet music for Percolate is now for preview and sale here:

*The recording is myself and not the premiere performance.

Thanks and happy playing!

Interesting piece! Mostly thought your video on the different techniques very interesting. I have used a lot of those, but never really thought about how I did them. I use to play in a lot of drum circles using the flute kind like a percussion.

Thanks for sharing!

Kudos and thank you for sharing. There are some interesting techniques in the piece that could result in more flautists picking up some new sound vocab options. I've always liked the push sounds using syllables but haven't developed the technique myself.
