You could chemical electric etch gold thats possible. Bit like how they do driven tools using acid, a template and an electric kinda pad to press on for a short period of time.

MIssy how do you mean for the Alto flute is that up another octive ?

Sibelius I would espect would do that easily upshifting or selecting the once octive higher

Just strange that they didn't put a natural and changed to B and E (which I would have done writing the score), I wouldn't have written it as a flat myself that did throw me a little :oops: . I was thinking perhaps its was a semitone kinda half on the open hiole if that makes sense. Thankyou everyon...

I play open hole flute with plugs, saves the finger tips getting that round hole marks, have to admit i've not come across much music whihc uses the Semi-tone, half fingers on the holdes. Guess when I gain more experience will come across semi-tones in music more. Edit just taken the plugs out again...

The foot joint is the only place I would press in on the pads to aid fitting and removal to the main body.
