Re: Headjoint/Body Pairing
pp, both my Haynes and my Brannen have a Split E and C# Trill. I can feel the weight difference with the Brannen immediately. At first, I couldn't play for long periods of time due to the weight difference. I am used to it now. The Brannen is 2.5 oz heavier than the Haynes. 2.5 oz is a LOT to Ernie ...

Re: Headjoint/Body Pairing
My .014" Haynes is 15.20 oz, while my 14K Brannen (silver keys, gold tone holes and rings) is 17.70 oz.
There is definitely a difference in weight.
Oh, and my Gemeinhardt camping flute is 16.15 oz.

Re: Ganglion raises its ugly head below thumb on LEFT wristl
Mine didn't play hide and seek, but was on my left index finger right where the flute rests.
Since it was painful, I had it surgically removed.

Re: C# Trill Key?
Haynes added a C# Trill and an Inline Split E to my backup flute about 10 years ago. They both work fine.

Re: Ok I am an electronics idiot
Missy, what model do you have. On my Sony PCM-M10, you press and hold the FF to advance through a track (just pressing it without holding will advance to the NEXT track). Same with reverse, press and hold FR to go backwards. I just tried it and it works. The Sony also has digital pitch speed control...

Re: Has anyone else had problems with Sandy Drelinger?
I have two friends who play Drelinger HJs. But for me, I could not meet with the guy in a hotel room and decide on a HJ in an hour. That's just too much pressure for me to make a decision in such a short time. I did my headjoint trials with Carolyn Nussbaum. She sent me 3 headjoints to try with my H...

I went and talked to Mr Nagahara myself. He remembered a dear friend of mine. I am so excited for you. Please post pictures after you receive it.
