How many people have had problems with silverplating?

I have very acidic skin. My flute is tarnishing very quickly. I play it a lot. I am concerned about the silverplate. I wipe it down after I am finished playing it. I have started cleaning between the keys with a Q tip. (I don't recommend doing this unless you know what you are doing.) How many peopl...

I guess that you want to know how they play.

I can't tell you.

Maybe someday, someone will show up who has played a Tom Green flute.

I have had plenty of piercings but not a lip piercing. I would also suggest not gettting your tongue pierced. It will affect your toungueing and possibly your embouchure. Think about it for a minute. You need to be able to control your airstream precisely to play the flute. This affects the intonati...

I got his number from the principal piccolo player for the Atlanta symphony. I am trying to restore an antique piccolo and his name was given to me. He seems like a really nice guy.

Email me and I will give you more details.

Hi,
Doesn't Bruce Bailey live down there near Miami? He comes highly recommended by many flute players.

I love this guy and he has a strange embouchure.

He plays out of the side of his mouth and at an angle.

I have seen pros playing out the side of their mouth. I think James Galway has even said that his embochure has changed over the years. If you get a good tone. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

That is really terrible.

Theives really are stupid. Most places keep track of all the instruments that they sell. When I sell one of my flutes, I try and get the persons name, address and phone number in case the flute gets stolen.

Very tragic.

That would work assuming that all of your tone holes are perfect and perfectly level.

It is a good place to start, but you will still have to go around and check for small leaks.

Good luck

You say that it's not her ear. That she can tell that she is playing out of tune. Does she play long tones with a tuner? If she does then maybe she could try playing one of her songs but instead of playing it the way it is written, play it using long tones. Then maybe she will figure out where her e...
